In the year 2017, 57,268 chances of constable (general commitment GD) for the enrollment cycle 2015-16 were filled through enlistment by Staff Selection Commission (SSC).

For the enlistment year 2018, 58,373 openings of constable (GD) were told for which PC based formed examination was coordinated by the SSC.

So additionally, in respect of various positions, 1,094 openings of Sub-Inspector (GD) for the year 2018 were represented to SSC and it has since broadcasted the result, the Home Ministry said.
